Edna Coxon, 90, of Van Meter died of a heart ailment Sunday at Adel Acres Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Coxon was born in Van Meter and returned 35 years ago after teaching in Denmark, Yarmouth and Dallas County schools. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and Van Meter Women’s Club.

Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home, where the family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
