Helen T. Allen, 90, of Karen Acres Nursing Home, 3605 Elm Drive, Urbandale, died of pneumonia Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Winterset Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen, who retired from Kmart, was born in West Des Moines and lived in the Des Moines area most of her life, moving to the nursing home in March.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Baldwin of Peoria, Ariz., Nancy Anderson of Kansas City, Mo., and Jo Ellen Goebel of Des Moines; a son, Ray Strait of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Bea Huett of Colby, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at McLaren’s Funeral Chapel.
