Robert T. Stephenson, 81, of Waukee died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Windsor United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery at Booneville.

Mr. Stephenson was born in Eldon and moved to Waukee in 1987 from Windsor Heights. He retired as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service, was an Army veteran of World War II and had been a member of Lions Club and Iowa Methodist Hospital Guild. He also had been coordinator of Iowa Methodist Medical Center’s Lifeline.

Surviving are two sisters, Thelma McCreary of Waynesville, N.C., and Helen Ray of Bloomfield; and a brother, Ed of Eldon.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home, where the family will received friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
