Oran Thomas Beall Rites Were Monday In Alfalfa Church

Services for Oran Thomas Beall, 75, were at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Alfalfa Baptist church with Rev. M.L. Magar of Hammond, former Alfalfa pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Gerald Squyres, pastor. Burial was in the Alfalfa cemetery. Mr. Beall died Friday after an illness of several years.

Born Oct. 7, 1875, at Winterset, Iowa, Bell grew to manhood in Madison county, Iowa, where in 1904 he was married to Cora Flora Carpenter. In 1906 he moved to Elida, New Mexico, where the family resided for five years and in 1910 he moved to Apache where he lived a short time before moving to the family home north of Alfalfa. He was converted at early age and was a member of the Baptist church of Alfalfa at the time of his death. Mrs. Beall died March 13, 1939.

Survivors include five sons, Loyd of Alfalfa; Vernon, Brisbane, Calif.; Cleo, San Francisco; Loren, Mountain View, and Oren, Seymour, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. J.W. Boyer, Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Roy Kidd, Long Beach; a brother, C.A. Beall, Carnegie; 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. All of the children were present for the funeral except Mrs. Boyer.
