Glenn Hartz, 92, of Winterset died of a stroke Wednesday at Winterset Care Center North, where he was a resident six years. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hartz was born in Madison County and lived near Booneville most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Lutheran Church and Madison County Farm Bureau.

A brother, Emmett of Booneville, survives.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.

WINTERSET — A funeral service for Glenn Hartz, 92, of Winterset was held Dec. 18, 1993 at Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter, with burial following at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Mr. Hartz died of a stroke on Dec. 15 at Winterset Care Center North.

The son of August and Augusta Hartz, he was born in Warren County on Jan. 2, 1901. He was a retired farmer who lived most of his life near Booneville. He had resided at Winterset for six years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and of the Madison County Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Vera Rehbein.

Survivors include one brother, Emmett Hartz of Booneville.

Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
