CHURCHVILLE, IA. — Mary “Mayme” Spain, 87, of Churchville, a homemaker, died of pneumonia Monday at Good Samaritan Care Center in Indianola. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Assumption. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement Cemetery.

Miss Spain was born in Madison County. She was a member of Church of Assumption and Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include a niece, Mary Laure of Martensdale; and four nephews, Robert of Cumming, Charles of Norwalk and Charles Johnson and George Johnson, both of West Des Moines.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Calwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home in Des Moines, where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
