Vera Rehbein, Winterset

Services for Vera Rehbein, 94, will be held Thurs., June 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter. Visitation will be held after noon on Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home, Van Meter. Mrs. Rehbein died of a heart ailment May 31 at Winterset Care Center North, where she had been a resident since 1985.

A Dallas County resident for most of her life, she was born February 20, 1898 at Lacona to August and Augusta Hartz. She married Herman Rehbein on October 31, 1921 in Des Moines. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society and Booneville American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Surviving are two daughters, Mildred Bradbury of Fresco, Calif. and Margaret Koch of Van Meter; a son Kenneth of Viola, Wis.; two brothers, Glenn Hartz of Winterset and Emmett Hartz of Booneville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery near Van Meter.
