Blanche C. Brooks, 91, of Woodbury West Health Care Center, 1211 Vine St., West Des Moines, died of a heart ailment there Wednesday. Private services will be Saturday in St. Charles, with burial in Blair Chapel Cemetery there.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Patterson and lived in the Des Moines area most of her life, moving to the care center in 1984. She had been a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Winterset.

Among survivors are a son, Richard of Groveland, Fla.; two daughters, Beverly Nelson of Moline, Ill., and Diane Kirkpatrick of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Westover Funeral Home.
