Mildred V. Danilson, 88, of Grandview Care Center, 2348 E. Ninth St., died of a respiratory ailment Sunday at home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Basilica of St. John, of which she was a member. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement Cemetery near Cumming.

Mrs. Danilson was born in Casey and lived in Des Moines most of her life, coming from Waukee. She retired as a waitress at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club.

Surviving are a son, Robert of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.
