Charles Cashatt Jr., 65, of 1410 20th St., West Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Friday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church, of which he was a member. A private burial will follow cremation of the body.

Mr. Cashatt was born in Rathburn, and lived in Oskaloosa until he was 15. He had lived in Des Moines since.

Mr. Cashatt was an accountant with Cashatt Accounting Tax Service Corp., retiring in 1987. He was a member of the National Society of Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Public Accountants.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, Robert of Simi Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Jill Mescher of Winterset and Julie Carpenter of Adel; two brothers, Harold of Kansas City, Mo., and Melvin of Des Moines; two sisters, Louise Wright of Sheridan, Ark., and Audrey Jenkins of California; and seven grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home.

Note: Burial was at the McGinnis cemetery.
