John P. Lienemann, Des Moines

Funeral services for John P. Lienemann, 54, were held Fri., Dec. 14 at the Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter. He died Mon., Dec. 10 at his home of a heart ailment due to complications from diabetes.

He was born August 29, 1936 near Van Meter, the son of W. Clifford and Marie Lienemann. After a Masters Degree at Drake University, he taught elementary school a few years and then for many years served as a nursing home administrator. The last two years he was a security guard. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter. A resident of Des Moines for the last two years, he lived in Hartford and Van Meter prior to moving to Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include five brothers, Walter C. of Minburn, Pete of Van Meter, Nile H. of Macon, Ga., Lawrence of Adel and Elmer of Sidney; and two sisters Clara L. Reinholdt of Des Moines and Edna D. Eaton of Sidney.

Burial was at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
