Mrs. Christopher Blosser died yesterday at her home east of Patterson after an illness of a few days caused from pneumonia. She was 81 years old and among the very early settlers of Crawford township. A brother, Michael Gamble, resides in Winterset. The husband died some years ago and
one son, John, and a daughter, Miss Effie Blosser, are the remaining members of the family.Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1 o'clock.

Martha Gamble, daughter of Robert and Margaret Gamble, was born July 7, 1839, in Franklin, Pa. When she was 6 years old the family moved to Richmond, O., and in 1854 came to Madison county, Iowa.
On April 19, 1866, she w as married to C. H. Blosser, a member of the Norwalk light guards. Mr. Blosser died on April 20, 1916. Three children, the eldest of whom died in infancy, were born to them. The others, John E. and Effie, with one sister, Mrs. Mary E. McMichael of Patterson, and one brother, Michael Gamble of Winterset, mourn her departure. In early life she joined with the Presbyterian church and at the time of her death was a member of the church at St. Charles.
Mrs. Blosser died Monday, Dec. 6, 1920, at the good age of 81 years, loved and respected by all who knew her.
Funeral services led by Rev. W. J. Stewart were held at the home on Wednesday afternoon, after which the body was laid to rest in Montpelier cemetery.
