BOONE, IA. — Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Charles Cemetery in St. Charles for Harriet L. Barnes, 82, of Boone, formerly of Des Moines. Miss Barnes died of a heart attack Tuesday at the Eastern Star Home here.
She was born in Indianola and lived in Des Moines most of her life before moving to Boone 1 ½ years ago. She was the retired office manager for the Public Health Center in Des Moines and had been a member of the Methodist church and Order of the Eastern Star Auburn chapter 449.
Two nephews survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Star Home.
Stark-Welin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
