Edna Peterson, 81, of 1321 57th Place died of a heart ailment Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Winterset Cemetery in Winterset.

Mrs. Peterson was born in Gibson City, Ill., and had lived in Des Moines since 1939. She had also lived in Ankeny. She was a retired stenographer and secretary for National Travelers Life. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church.

There are no immediate survivors.

Collins Funeral Home in Winterset is handling arrangements.
