Maureen Donnelly, 89, of 5921 Winwood Drive, Johnston, died of a heart ailment Friday at Charter Community Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Bishop Drumm Care Center chapel. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Cumming.

Miss Donnelly was born in Des Moines and lived here most of her life. She had been a nurse in California for 23 years and taught in country schools in Polk County. She had been a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include a sister, Joan Kidd of Des Moines; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Bishop Drumm Care Center chapel, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bishop Drumm Care Center. Merle Hay Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
