Opal E. Winship, Lorimor

Services for Opal E. Winship, 67, Lorimor, who died Monday, May 11, at Des Moines General Hospital, will be held Thursday, May 14, at the Lorimor United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg.

Born Nov. 11, 1919 in Adair County, she was the daughter of Carl and Imo Kramer Shaffer. She was a member of the Lorimor United Methodist Church. A homemaker, she moved to Madison County in 1929, and then moved to a farm west of Lorimor in 1963.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Olson and husband Paul of Alden; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials can be made to the Lorimor United Methodist Church.
