James W. Bennett, Winterset

Graveside services for James Warren Bennett, 93, Winterset, who died Sunday, April 19, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held at the Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Anderson officiating.

Born in Douglas township on Aug. 29, 1893, he was the son of Leaman and Ola Negus Bennett. He was a retired farmer and moved to Winterset in 1963 after retirement from farming. Mr. Bennett was a resident of the Winterset Care Center North.

Survivors include a sister, Josephine Hoskins of the Care Center North and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Maudie Bennett of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
