Bernard J. Silwinski, 78, of Earlham died of cancer Tuesday at Earlham Health Care Center. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Earlham Health Care Center, with burial of the cremains in Earlham Cemetery.

Mr. Silwinski was born in Madison, Wis., and lived in Des Moines for 20 years before spending the last year-and-a-half in Earlham. He was a retired machinist.

There are no survivors.

Memorial contributions may be made to Middle River Hospice. Kuhn Funeral Homes in Earlham is in charge of arrangements.
