Relatives received the news Basil R. Daughten, 60, of Des Moines had died at Veterans Hospital of a heart attack Monday morning.

Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles.

Survivors include his wife, Phyliss; a son, Geoffrey of Glendale, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Loren Sturtz of Ankeny and Mrs. Merlyn Batcheller of Littleton, Colo.
