Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center for Ralph F. Hakes, 77, of Dallas Center, who died at Spurgeon Manor there Tuesday of emphysema. Burial will be at Earlham Cemetery in Earlham.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl; three sons, Edwin and Kenneth, both of Dallas Center, and Dennis of Des Moines; a brother, Ward of Norwalk; three sisters, Mae Conard, Myrtle Lowery and Alma Crawford, all of Heber Springs, Ark.; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
