Ronald Allen, 68, of Des Moines died of a heart attack Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday at Carlisle with burial in St. Charles cemetery. He was a brother of Mrs. Thelma Bradshaw and Mrs. Mildred Miller.

Services for Ronald A. Allen, 68, of 1417 King Ave., who died of a heart attack Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Allen was born in Murray, was a former Indianola resident and lived in Des Moines since 1969. He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. and was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; two sons, Albert L. of Hartford and Ronald W. of Norwalk; two daughters, Kathy Schooler of Lacona and Carol Boggs of Norwalk; two stepsons, Bob Tomlinson of Naperville, Ill., and Dale L. Tomlinson of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Dottie LeClaire of Des Moines; three sisters, Thelma Bradshaw of Indianola and Helen Tomlinson and Mildred Miller, both of Des Moines; a brother, Donald of Des Moines; 17 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
