Death of MRS. GEORGE SHAVER

Mrs. George Shaver died this morning after a brief illness from pneumonia, which became critical last Sunday. She had not been in good health for some time and being nearly 71 years old had little energy to combat the disease.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Shaver leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lewis Fay of Omaha; also three brothers: Asbury, Thomas and Link Clopton.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Shaver home.

Mrs. Shaver Dead

Mrs. George Shaver died at her home this morning of pneumonia after an illness of less than a week. Mr. Shaver, who was in Missouri, was called home Monday by her serious illness. The funeral will be held at the home Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Shaver's maiden name ws Vina Clopton and she was the only girl in the old family that came to Winterset in an early day. She was seventy-one years old when she died and nearly all her life has been lived in Winterset. She was married to George Shaver, a blacksmith, nearly fifty years ago.

Mrs. Shaver's death is greatly regretted by a wide circle of acquaintances to whom she was endeared all her life.
