Services for Melba I. Davis, 66, Winterset, who died Mar. 1 at Des Moines General Hospital, were held Mar. 3 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Hanzalik officiating. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.
She was born at Richland, Mo., Mar. 8, 1916, the daughter of Frederick and Nettie Meyer Murry. She spent most of her life here and was a member of St. Paul’s Church.
She married Frank Davis Sept. 11, 1939 at St. Charles, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Dennis Davis of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Seward of Winterset; brothers, Dale Murry of St. Charles and Donald Murry of Winterset; sisters, Irma Coen of Prole, Frances Martin of Winterset, and Mary Donoho of Ft. Collins, Colo., and four grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and a brother, Roy.
