Memorial graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Earlham Cemetery for Ruth Nierman of Hillside Convalescent Center, 233 University Ave. The body has been cremated. Miss Nierman, 62, died of pneumonia Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.

Born in Earlham, she had lived in Des Moines 40 years and retired in 1989 as a typist for Equifax Publishing.

Surviving are two sisters, Roxie Guzman of Culver City, Calif., and Roberta Shudde of Carmel, Calif.; and a brother, Charles of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Dunn’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
