The funeral of Wm. Epperly, who died at his home on Monday, after a long illness, was held at the residence on Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Lescault. The body was taken to his old home at Cranston, Iowa for burial. Those who accompanied Mrs. Epperly on this sad journey were her husband's sister, Mrs. Townsley of Letts; and brother, Mr. Epperly of Freemont, Iowa. Also Mr. Parsons, a brother in law of Mrs. Epperly, who lives a few miles south of town.
Mr. and Mrs. Epperly have lived in Earlham for several years, and he has always proved himself a kind and obliging neighbor; ready and glad to help whenever and wherever his efforts were need most. Mrs. Epperly has the sympathy of the community in the loss of her husband.
