STACY LYNN GRIMES TAYLOR

Stacy Lynn Grimes Taylor, 40, of Winterset formerly of Earlham, passed away March 3, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 9, 2012, at the Earlham Church of Christ, Earlham, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 8, at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham. Burial will follow the services in Penn Center Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stacy Lynn Taylor Memorial Fund, which will be used for her children and may be sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 171, Earlham, Iowa 50070. Stacy was born August 9, 1971, in Des Moines, Iowa, one of four children born to Richard (Dick) and Nikki Reed Grimes. She was raised in Earlham and graduated with the class of 1989. While in high school she was active within the drama department and during the summers would stay with family friends in Branson, Missouri and work at one of the local ice cream parlors. After graduating from Earlham, Stacy moved to Branson where she lived for a year before returning to Earlham. She also lived in Des Moines, before moving to Wisconsin, in 2003 before eventually moving back home before settling in Winterset. She worked at Sears Credit for several years before being employed at Wells Fargo and worked in their customer service department. Stacy was a very proud mother of three and enjoyed spending every waking moment with them. She enjoyed fishing, watching the Cubs and Bears play, was very adventurous and enjoyed spending time on the river and anything outdoors, being a caregiver not only to her family, but many other as well, loved and collected Mickey Mouse, spending time with family on cookouts, and spending time with her children and family.

She is preceded in death by an infant sister and grandparents, Richard and Esther Grimes, Tom Reed and Nell Hernandez.

Stacy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Melanie Kristine Taylor, Isaac John Taylor and Zoe Nicole Johnson; parents, Dick and Nikki Grimes of Earlham; siblings, Kristy Grimes of West Des Moines and Richard R. "Buddy" (Kayla) Grimes of Earlham; one nephew and niece, Arzel and Demmi; grandmother, Pat Reed, of Illinois and several aunts, uncles, cousins. friends and fiance Johnny Money all of whom will miss her greatly.
