Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon for John Jones of Indianola at the funeral home with interment in the Peru cemetery. Mr. Jones was a former resident of this place.

John Franklin Jones, a former resident of Union township, Madison county, died March 24 last near Spring Hill, Warren county. Funeral services were held at Truro March 26.
His parents were Franklin and Elizabeth Sturman Jones, who lived in the North part of Union township near the Greenwood school house where John was born September 12, 1879. He was married to Emma Gonseth November 3, 1903. They had three daughters and five sons.
He is survived by the widow and three daughters: Mrs. Pearl Billings, Mrs. Elsie Cochran and Mrs. Goldie Baker of Cedar Falls; five sons, Edward of Truro, William of Ackworth, Lloyd of St. Charles, Arthur of Cedar Falls; four sisters, Mrs. Kate Stephenson of Cooper, Mrs. Nel Mitchell of Davenport, Mrs. Charlotte Larson of Chicago, and Mrs. Mary Harris of Los Angeles; three brothers, Dick and August of Des Moines and Gilbert of Tacoma, Washington.
Mr. Jones was a resident of St. Charles about a year before moving to Spring Hill a few years ago.
