February 15, 1994, Metro page 7Edna June Russell, 61, of 1002 E. Sixth St. died of a heart ailment Sunday at Broadlawns Medical Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Adel, and burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
Mrs. Russell was born in Winterset and returned to Des Moines six months ago from Dallas County. She was a homemaker and member of the Christian Church, Daughters of Union Veterans and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was past president of Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic and Sons of Union Veterans Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Ron Plue of Des Moines and Mark Ford of DeSoto; a stepson, Floyd Russell, and a daughter, Theda Ford, both of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Connie Russell of Altoona; two sisters, Verna Hill of Fairhope, Ala., and Ruth Greene of Des Moines; and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home in Adel, where the family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
