Memorial services for Berta Jeanne Darlington, 54, of 1009 S.W. Leland Ave., who died of cancer Saturday at her home, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church. The body will be cremated.

Born in Earlham, Mrs. Darlington lived in Woodward four years before moving to Des Moines 17 years ago. She was a member of Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church and the American Association of University Women.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. John W. Darlington; two daughters, Cathy Cate of Des Moines and Judith Darlington of Iowa City; a son, John of the Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary at Evanston, Ill.; four sisters, Ruth O’Cain of Troy, Mont., Maxine Miller of Baltimore, Md., Pauline Haynes of Lansing, Mich., and Opal Abrahams of Phoenix, Ariz.; her foster mother, Mrs. A. P. Keast of Des Moines, and her stepmother, Mrs. Charles McBride of Winterset.

The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to Fort Des Moines Methodist Church.
