Dana Edward Woolery, son of Wm. C. and Nancy Woolery, was born in Polk county, Nebraska, January 6, 1882. He came to Iowa about fourteen years ago.
He was married to Miss Sadie Scott November 23, 1907, to whom was born three children, Claude Edward, Edwin Ethel and Lyla Mae. His wife passed away in July 1915. He was married to Mrs. Bradie J. Brown of Truro, July 18, 1916 and they have since resided on their farm south of Truro.
Dana was taken with the flu last December and never recovered from the effects of it and has been a great sufferer for the past three months. He bore his suffering with great patience and passed to his reward in the evening of August 11, 1919, aged 37 years, 7 months and 5 days.
He leaves to mourn his loss a father, his wife, three children, one stepson, two sisters, three brothers, beside other relatives and a host of friends.
The funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday at 3 p.m. and interment was made in the Hartman cemetery.
