JOY KALE, FLORIDA

Joy Kale, 86, of St. Augustine, Fla., formerly of Truro, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Fla.

The service was held at Craig Funeral Home in St. Augustine on Friday, Feb. 24. Memorials can be sent to the “Learn to Read” program c/o Karmen Reid, 85 River Court NE, Rochester MN 55906.

Joy was born on June 18, 1925 in Mayerthorpe, Alberta, Canada. Joy spent most of her life in Truro, Iowa, where she was a teacher.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Kale of Truro, Iowa/Jacksonville, Fla.

Joy is survived by her daughter Karmen Reid in Rochester, Minn.; Keith Kale in Minneapolis, Minn.; and Ken Kale in St. Augustine, Fla.; three grandchildren, as well as her brother, Leo Dawson of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada

A "Celebration of Life" service will be held for Joy Kale, age 86 who passed away on February 20, 2012 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida. 

Joy was born on June 18, 1925 in Mayerthorpe, Alberta, Canada. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Kale of Truro, Iowa/Jacksonville, FL. Joy is survived by her daughter, Karmen (George) Reid in Rochester, MN, Keith (Kathleen) Kale in Minneapolis, MN, and Ken (Kathie) Kale in St. Augustine, FL; as well as her brother, Leo Dawson (Martha) and their family in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. Grandchildren are Meredith Reid living in Madison, WI, Alexis Reid in Rochester, MN and the "light of her life" Bailey Kale from St. Augustine. 

Joy spent most of her life in Truro, Iowa, where she was a teacher. She will be missed by her friends and family in Iowa and in Canada. 

The service will be held at Craig Funeral Home in St. Augustine on Friday, February 24 at 11. Memorials can be sent to the "Learn to Read" program c/o Karmen Reid, 85 River Court NE, Rochester, MN 55906.
