JOHN REESE, OLD TIME RESIDENT, DIED AT CLARINDA ON JUNE 4th

John Reese, a former resident of this community, passed away at the state hospital in Clarinda Tuesday, June 4th. Burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery southwest of town Saturday, with the minister of the M. E. church at Redfield officiating.

Seven children survive him, of which four were present, Mrs. Lester Swallow of Garrison, N. Dak., Mrs. York of Redfield, Merritt of Ponsford, Minn., and George of Dallas Center. Those unable to come were Mrs. Iva Wright and Ive Reese of Seattle, Wash., and Harry of Logan, Mont. Mr. Reese was 85 years of age, and spent the greater part of his life in this community.
