MRS. ISRAEL MILLER

Synthia Ann Dowers was born in Lawrence county, Indiana, Nov. 10, 1828, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. F. Clampitt, May 20, 1919, at the age of ninety years, seven months and ten days.

July 21st, 1846 she was married to Israel Miller to which union were born seven children, four of whom died while in infancy, and the only son who lived to manhood died in 1910. The two children yet living are Mrs. D. F. Clampitt of this community and Mrs. W. H. Stock, of Omaha, Nebr.

She came with her husband to Iowa nearly sixty years ago and has lived here ever since, living on the old home place fifty three years. She dedicated her life to God when a young girl, ever trusting in his promise and his mercy.

Funeral services were held at the Worthington church, where she was laid to rest. Rev. Hignett conducted the services.
