Death of MRS. MANNING GATCHEL

Mrs. Manning Gatchel died at her home on Tuesday morning after a week's illness with pleural pneumonia. She was a native of Kansas and came here a stranger. Since her marriage she has made many friends in Winterset by reason of her good qualities.

She leaves six children, the oldest nine years, the youngest two years, Mrs. Gatchel's death brings great sorrow, in that her family of little folks is left motherless. To Mr. Gatchel the community tenders deep sympathy in the bereavement that has come to him.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock in the Christian church

GOLDIE EVANS GATCHEL

Goldie Evans was born near Atchison, Kansas, October 18, 1888, departed this life May 27, 1919, being 30 years 7 months and 9 days of age at the time of her death.

She was married to M. A. Gatchel December 23, 1908. To this union were born six children, Francis Orpha, Harvey Ellis, Kenneth Earl, Joseph Andrew, Hubert Lucian and George Albert.

She united with the Disciple Church at Anadarko, Oklahoma in 1906. After coming to Winterset, she united with the Christian Church, remaining a devoted member until the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, father, mother, two brothers, four sisters, besides a number of other relatives and a host of friends. She was a faithful member of her church, an affectionate wife, a loving devoted mother and a friend to all.
