Last Saturday, Mrs. Minnie Jones received word that her son, Hiram Lloyd Colton, had met with a tragic death. He was run over and badly mangled by a freight train Friday night near Marshalltown. The body was brought here Sabbath afternoon and services were held at the home of his mother, conducted by Rev. Hedges.
He leaves a wife and small child, his aged grandmother, mother, two half sister, one half brother and many other relatives.
