BEVERLY ANN (BAKER) ROBERTS, Des Moines

Beverly Ann (Baker) Roberts was born June 4, 1940 to Ethel and Raymond Baker in Stuart, Iowa. She passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Beverly grew up in Patterson, Iowa and the family later moved to Des Moines. She graduated from East High School in 1958. Beverly graduated from Area XI Business College and went on to work for several years at Custom Built Homes and later retired from the State of Iowa.

Beverly was a very loving, giving, and caring person. She would do anything for anyone. She loved to travel and was always ready for a road trip (she loved to read).

Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Donald L. Vern Roberts; sons, Shane Millard (Toni Sciachitano), Dirk Millard (Theresa Garner) and Tad Millard; step-son, Monte (Sue) Roberts; sisters, Pat (Verdis) Williams, Lola (Gary) Grandstaff and Sandy (Homer) Cowger; brother, Randy Baker; grandchildren, Tasha, Brianna and Carmen Millard, Josh (Caren) Millard, Justin and Josh Roberts; great-grandchildren, Brayden Cochran and Shae Millard; as well as her loving friend and self-adopted sister, Mary Johnson.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2012 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
