October 9, 1918, page 5Death of FRANK NEWTON
Frank Newton of Spearfish, Minn., who has been here visiting with his nephews, Glen and Cady Newton, died suddenly on Monday, while making preparations to return home. Mr. Newton arrived here two weeks ago, and although not rugged, had seemed as well as usual. After dinner at Cady Newton's, he went outdoors, but soon came in, saying to Mrs. Newton that he did not feel well. She at once called her husband and an uncle Guilford Mullen, and they procured a doctor at once, but after a brief illness, Mr. Newton died, heart trouble being the cause of his death.
Mr. Newton had spent much of the 84 years of his life in Iowa. He is survived by several children. The body was taken Tuesday to Spearfish for burial.
