Old friends and relatives of Mrs. Amelia Hale-Duncan were much shocked to hear of her sudden death on July 4th, at her home in Grimes, Iowa. A heart affection caused her death without warning, similar to the death of her father, Charles W. Hale.
Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Duncan leaves two sisters, Miss Harriet Hale and Mrs. H. S. Thomson of Earlham and two brothers, Charles and Nathan. Funeral services on Saturday were attended by her brother in law and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. George Gardner.
