Macksburg News Items of Interest

Word was received here Sunday of the death of Mrs. W. C. Livingston at her home in Cedar Falls. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at two o’clock Wednesday, conducted by Rev. M. D. Summerbell and burial in the Moon cemetery. The Livingstons were former residents, living southwest of town and she is the mother of Mrs. Fred Cochran.

Forrest Livingston of Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Livingston and Mae Livingston of Cedar Falls were here last week to attend the funeral services of their mother, Mrs. W. C. Livingston.

MRS. LINN LIVINGSTON DIES AT CEDAR FALLS

Cedar Falls - In failing health for the past two weeks, Mrs. Jennie Linn Livingston, 81, died Sunday morning of complications and heart trouble at her home at 722 W. Twenty-seventh street.

Funeral services will be Monday evening at 7 o’clock at the home with the Rev. Earle A. Baker officiating. Monday evening the casket will be shipped to Lorimor, Ia., for services Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the Macksburg Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be in the Macksburg cemetery.

Mrs. Livingston was born Sept. 11, 1854, at Blandonville, Ill. The family lived in Lorimor for 40 years, afterwards moving to Cedar Falls where they have resided for the past 16 years.

Mrs. Livingston’s husband, William Cyrus, died May 27, 1929. She is survived by three sons, Frank D., Lorimor; F. O. Livingston, Bend, Ore.; and Emmett L. at home. Two daughters are Mrs. Fred Cochran, Lorimor, and E. Mae, Cedar Falls. A sister, Mrs. Hester Buooa, lives at Lorimor. Surviving also are 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
