News of Interest from St. Charles

Funeral services for Robert Paul, seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Hadley of Des Moines was held in the Methodist church here, Friday afternoon at two o’clock. The child was struck by a truck near his home, Wednesday forenoon and passed away at the Broadlawns General hospital at 9:30 that evening. Burial was in the family lot in the St. Charles cemetery. He is survived by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. The Hadley family lived in St. Charles a number of years when Mr. Hadley was section foreman and four years ago was sent to Pleasantville and later transferred to Des Moines.
