News Items of Interest from St. Charles

Funeral services for Frank Tincher were held at Wick Tuesday afternoon with burial in the St. Charles cemetery. He was 78 years of age and had never married.

F. M. Tincher Buried March 24

Francis Monroe Tincher, son of B. W, and Phoebe Tincher, was born in Hendrix county, Indiana, June 10, 1858, and died after a short illness in Wick, Iowa at the home of his niece, Mrs. U. B. Headrick. March 21, 1936, his age being 77 years, 9 months and eleven days.

Frank came with his parents from Indiana to St. Charles, Iowa, when a young man. He lived for a number of years on the farm with his parents. He spent a number of years farming in Nebraska, Kansas, and Idaho. For nearly twenty years he lived with his sister, Mrs. Jennie Lympus, in Norwalk, Iowa, until the time of her death on the 19th of July, 1935. For the greater part of his life he followed the occupation of farming.

He leaves to mourn their loss one brother, William, of St. Charles, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. C. A. Goff of Omaha, Nebr., four nieces and four nephews. He also leaves a large number of relatives and friends.

Frank was a good neighbor, and always considerate of the welfare of others. Everyone will always kindly remember him.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Wick, Iowa, conducted by the Rev. A. N. Simpson, pastor of the Church of Christ at Norwalk, Iowa. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
