Janice Campbell, Des Moines

Janice Campbell, 64, died at her home Saturday, December 17, 2011. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

Janice was born November 28, 1947 in St. Charles to Constance and Harrison Strable. She loved watching her granddaughter race every week at the fairgrounds, horseback riding, cooking big meals, and going to HyVee.

Janice is survived by her loving husband, Dale; her son, Dale; her grandchildren, Justine and Jaclyn; and her brothers, John, Jim (Cathy), Jack (Sue), and Harrison (Loni). She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Harrison and Evelyn; her brother, Jerry; and her granddaughter, Jessica.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in loving memory of Janice.
