Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Stiles, Mrs. T. J. McGinnis and Howard DeBok attended the funeral of Mrs. Lauren Stiles in St. Charles Monday. Mrs. Stiles lived in Milwaukee and her death occurred there.

News of Interest from St. Charles

Word came to friends here Saturday evening of the death of Mrs. Loren Stiles at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The family arrived with the body Monday morning and the funeral services were held at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church with Rev. Patterson of Peru in charge assisted by Rev. Barker. Many years ago the Stiles family were residents of St. Charles but have been gone a number of years making their home in Wisconsin. Mrs. Stiles is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Golda Harvey, one grandson, and two sisters, Mrs. S. G. Haynes of near St. Charles, and Mrs. Della Kilgore of Des Moines. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.

Transcriber's note: In her first two censuses, she was "Elizabeth A.", then she was Anna once followed time by "Annie" in several censuses. Her maiden name is taken from the 1870 & 80 censuses.
