Death of Mrs. Calvin Francis

Mrs. Calvin Francis, a former Madison county resident, died Saturday, January 12th, at her home 1525 E. Grand avenue, Des Moines, at the age of 80 years. She spent her girlhood in this county, and she and her husband lived in Earlham for a number of years before moving to Des Moines, 26 years ago.

Mr. Francis died three years ago, and she is survived by a daughter Edith, with whom she made her home, two other daughters, Mrs. Bertha Palmer of Carlisle, and Mrs. Ruth Kirk of Des Moines, and a son, W. Russell Francis of Lake Wales, Florida. There are five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The body of Mrs. Francis was taken to Earlham for burial.
