Page 1DEATH OF LYDIA MEYER
Miss Lydia P. Meyer, former resident of the Macksburg community, died Sunday in Des Moines after an illness of several months. She was 49 years old.
Miss Meyer was born near Macksburg and lived most of her life in Iowa. For the past 22 years she had made her home in Des Moines. She had been employed as a comptometer operator by the Rock Island railroad. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Church of Christ, Scientist.
She leaves three brothers, S. G. Meyer of Des Moines, E. W. Meyer of Winterset, and R. H. Meyer of Collins, Montana, and a sister, Mrs. H. H. Holley of Des Moines.
Funeral services were conducted from Dunn’s Funeral home in Des Moines. Burial was in Winterset.
