The funeral of Mrs. Laura Fitzpatrick, who passed away at her home in Des Moines was held at the Methodist church here Friday afternoon. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was the sister of Mrs. Mary Wynkoop and was related to the Garrett and Hodson families here. Several years ago, following the death of his wife, she kept house for Frank Hodson and cared for his four small children. But for the past several years she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lenora Smith of Des Moines.

Rev. Kite of Des Moines preached the funeral service. Ralph Hunter and Mrs. Frank Irwin sang two songs, “Lead Kindly Light” and “Abide with Me.” The funeral was conducted by Lilly’s funeral home.

Miss Grace Wynkoop of Des Moines accompanied her cousin, Mrs. Smith to the funeral and returned home with her for a few days.
