Adel, Ia.---Veneta Reeves, 83, of rural Adel died of a kidney ailment Saturday at Parkview Manor in Woodward. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.

Mrs. Reeves was born in Madison County and lived in the Adel area for 56 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Adel United Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, Ladies’ Auxiliary Encampment at Perry and the Ladies’ Auxilliary of the Canton at Des Moines.

Survivors include her husband, Glen; a daughter, Shirley Hunziker of Altoona; a son, Thomas E. of Osage Beach, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
