MARTIN E. RADKE, Des Moines

Services for Martin E. Radke, 75, Des Moines, who died February 14, 1990, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Mon., Feb. 19, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, south of Van Meter, with
the Rev. Carl Drogemueller of Greenfield officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Born June 2, 1914 in Jefferson township of Madison County, he was the son of Herman and Ida Berneau Radke. A farmer, Mr. Radke was married to Dortha Shannon in Kirksville, Mo., on March 11, 1940.

He had lived in Des Moines since September of 1988, after spending 29 years around Greenfield. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Farm Bureau in Madison and Adair Counties.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Larry of Mineral Point, Wis., and Jim of Omaha, Neb.; daughters, Margaret Good of Des Moines, Shirley Jenson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Judith Radke of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Carl Radke of Van Meter; a sisters, Selma Radke of Van Meter; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, two brothers and a grandson.
