Services Held For Alvin Alexander

Alvin S. Alexander died at Madison County Memorial Hospital last Thursday at age 76. He was a retired farmer and had spent his entire life in Madison County. Mr. Alexander was a World War I veteran and belonged to the American Legion.

Mr. Alexander was born December 16, 1895 in Madison County, a son of O. W. and Lucy Walker Alexander. He married Helene Niblo December 15, 1921 in Adel.

Besides his wife, Mr. Alexander is survived by a son, Myles Alexander of Winterset and two sisters, Mrs. Ray Sinn and Mrs. LaVaun Robinson of Maxwell, Iowa and seven grandchildren.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Newton Coughenour in charge. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
