WILLIAM KEPHART

William Kephart, son of Thomas and Rebecca Kephart, was born in Morgentown, Ind., July 24, 1856 and passed away at Winterset, Oct 7, 1924 at the age of 68 years, 2 months and l3 days.

The greater part of his life was spent in Iowa and for a number of years he was known to the residents of Winterset. For some time his health has been failing, as the years have passed. Mr. Kephart had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church since 1902, having joined in the northern part of the state. He was a patient sufferer until his death.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Stickler of Winterset and Mrs. Sarah Strong of Moline, Ill.; also by a brother, Samuel R. Kephart of Martinsville, Ind., and a half brother, Thomas Kephart of Peru. Funeral services were held in Winterset Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. D. J. Shenton.
